The Historic Hovda House

The Big Yellow House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  The "Hovda House", as it is listed in the Register, was built in 1904 by Oliver Hovda, one of the early business entrepreneurs and ranchers in the Stillwater Valley.  It has been owned and lived in by several prominent Absarokee families over the last 100 years and is the prominent historic home on Woodard Avenue, Absarokee's main street.
